Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg choice of clothes has led twitter readers to accuse him of following “gangsta” fashion. This is not the first time, a leader is accused for his clothing style, earlier Nicola Sturgeon’s fashion “transformation” led many on Twitter to question what she wore was relevant to her abilities as a politician. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s suits with his name printed all over led many people to question and gathered lots of attention on social media. Actress Deepika Padukone’s cleavage showing dress too created a stir on twitter.
It all began with a comment by a twitter user on Nick Clegg’s profile pic saying “Clegg you absolute roadman”. She then added, somewhat more cryptically: “Nick Clegg, more like Yung Clegg, am i rite?” Drawing attention to Clegg’s North Face sweater, Twitter users have suggested that the Lib Dem leader has undiscovered gangsta qualities.
Roadman’ suggests that Mr Clegg is a gentleman who knows his local area well, and is liable to be seen at any illegal parties in the region and‘Yung Clegg’ means that he is very cool.
