Poonam Dubey Show at AIFW SS’16
    October 12, 2015

    Review

Designer Poonam Dubey’s collection “Masakali” was inspired by Indian culture, food, festivals and was about girls who wants to achieve something good in life.

The collection was beautiful amalgamation of ethnic with contemporary. The silhouettes were loose and wearable. The highlight of the collection was use of khadi and Mughal art as prints on garments. Indigo being the primary color came with hints of white and red.

Lehengas, dhoti pants and flared trousers with kurtis and crop tops, sheer jackets and capes over floor-length maxis, were outstanding. A standout was a bleached, indigo blue full-length dress with a sheer cape with intricate floral embroidery on the cape and the Mughal-inspired ones on the hem of dress.
