Anushree Reddy stunned the runway with her vintage bridal collection titled Niloufer at the fashion week.
The winter festive collection drew inspiration from the beautiful princess of Hyderabad, Niloufer. Themed on the elaborate royal opulence, that harks back to the aura of the majestic Mughal empire, the intricate hand embroidered traditional zardosi takes strong influences from details ranging upon architecture to jewellery, translated into contemporary silhouettes.
The collection was a blend of garments narrating a story, starting with easy to wear silhouettes, the colour palette started off with peachy pinks going into burnt oranges to sunset yellows and then golds. Evocative fabrics like the pure hand woven ahimsa silk, dreamy organza and pure organic mal mal were applied to add life to the garments. The label’s classic dreamy florals in watercolour hues were also seen recreating the Nawabi era.
Scallop details, flirty frills, intimidating volume, clean cut silhouettes, ruffle detailing and sleek layering were the basis of Anushree’s collection.
Whilst her menswear line focused on understated elegance for the modern man with rich handwoven fabrics, intensive handmade detailing and subtle embellishments.
Theshowstopper yellow scallop zardosilehenga designed with intricate leaves and delicate flower embroidery done on each panel of the lehenga. The yellow hand die silk blouse was designed in her signature style and classic cut with elaborate embroidery took 96 hours in total to be completed.
