Inspired from the nature, Dev R Nil’s collection ‘The Journey’ was about celebrating life. The collection was reminiscent of the hippies of the ’60’s.
Floral prints with broken check patterns symbolized the fragmented stories of life. Lacework, appliqué embroidery and geometric patterns dominated the range. He used Chanderi fabrics that featured prints merged with embroidery.
The collection included glamorous bomber jackets, dresses, trousers, waistcoats, shirts t-shirts and paneled palazzos in Organza, French Chiffon, Crêpe and Net fabrics. A sense of edginess and beauty came through shades of nude, off-white, tangerine, cobalt blue and sensuous black. There were also sensual lettered-print boxy shift dress, fluffy skirts and highly-embroidered tops
