Nikasha has carved a niche in the Indian and International high fashion over the yearsby offering contemporary, luxurious prêt and demicouture with a distinct house signature and an inherent Indian-ness that celebrates handcrafted traditions.
Resort, evening and bridal styles are the specialties of the house, made with quality natural fabrics, intricate embroideries and thoughtful detailing.
If there was one way to describe Nikasha’s show at AIFW AW ’18, it would have to be—Purely Pretty. Nikasha used our favorite ensembles and embellished ’em with our favorite things. I.e Saris with sequins, dhoti pants and tops with foil work, jackets with floral embroidery. Everything from this collection is perfect for a bride-to-be for a sangeet, mehendi or cocktail party. The foil print featured extensively throughout the collection and played with the ongoing metallic trend as well.
The collection titled ‘Keya’ celebrates the past and the future, the naive and complex interplay of it all. Fluid silhouettes like dhoti saris compliments the brocade cocktail jacket , prints that embody a million flowers and embroidery that is bold and full of color and zeal. The collection is complimented by the handcrafted accessories like sling bags, earrings and footwear by the label.
