A typical Malini Ramani garment is when you feel sexy without feeling worked up about it.Her latest collection embodied the same idea. As a self-confessed ‘unfollower’ of trends, Ramani’s collection spoke a language of its own. ‘Supernova,’ is made for the confident woman, who shines bright just like the namesake star.
Calling herself her own muse, the designer used all her favourite silhouettes throughout the collection. The lineup was a selection of jumpsuits, capes, harem pants and sarees. Graced with peacock and leaves motifs, it added furthermore elegance. The collection saw a lot of blacks, whites with earthy green and browns. The motifs were usually tone-on-tone or in black or gold.
The jewelled headbands and feathered headgear further enhanced the relaxed and bohemian vibe of the collection. It was the designer’s interpretation of the east meets west. Ramani describes it as sexy, soft, spiritual and Indian.
