Vehicles drive past a board announcing tNiger the land much better known for battling Boko Haram and al-Qaeda is emerging as a world’s fashion capital.

Founded by African fashion legend Alphadi, Festival worldwide de la Mode en Afrique is a fashion event held in Niger in every two years. The festival runs for four days and showcases young global designers, the next generation of African talent, set names and last day is dedicated to music.

The event has already attracted famous international designers like Yves Saint Laurent and Jean Paul Gaultier and gets 60,000 visitors.

Though the country still needs improvement in education and industry, but this festival will surely give the chances to aspiring designers to come in spotlight and promote regional goods and art.
