200Designer Jean Paul Gaultier’s finally unveiled his retrospective dedicated to his iconic works at Grand Palais in Paris. The exhibition first debuted at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in 2011 and has been showcased in Dallas, San Francisco, Madrid, Rotterdam, Stockholm, Brooklyn, London and Australia as well.

The exhibition curated by Thierry-Maxime Loriot and designed by Agence Projectile features 175 outfits and many photographs, sketches and videos, all spanning several decades. The exhibition also highlights the personal relationships of Gaultier with models, musicians and filmmakers.

The retrospective presented Gaultier’s debut 1976 collection along with his later couture collection and wedding dresses, including the spunky tube-top style wore by Anna Cleveland in the spring 2015 show. Also at the display was the designer’s first dress he ever made in 1971 for Aitize Hanson to wear in a modeling contest.
