Christian Dior opened a flagship in Cannes, just when the 69th International Cannes Film Festival started. The new flagship at 7 Boulevard de la Croisette overlooks the entry to the Palais de Festival across the street is designed by architect Peter Marino.
The menswear area, found on the lower level, was created by Dior’s in-house design team. While it houses full range of women’s wear in addition to handbags, exotic skin leather goods, footwear, accessories and high- and costume jewelry.
Among the artworks to be found accompanying the collections will be armchairs by Russell Woodard, lamps designed by Wouter Haste, and an animated mural by Oyoram. The Cannes boutique’s gray and white colour scheme and neo- Louis XVI and medallion back chairs transpose the hushed and intimate atmosphere.
