The Japanese designer Isamu Katamaya well known for leather tanning mechanism has launched his Autumn Winter 2012-2013 collection under BACKLASH themed THE NORBAN MAN. His collection revolves round the life of the Norban man who travels across Nordic countries wandering the mystic forest and its natural beauty. Whilst he gets back to his urban lifestyle after a point of time the skyscraper sitting on the tress strikes a chord in his mind regarding the natural world he has left behind. Mused on the country side along with the al fresco products his collection apart from using the labels signature leather is a beautiful amalgamation of herringbone, jacquard knits and shrunk wool.
The designer through his new range has attempted to create a shield to salt away the wintry. A compilation ranging from rubber coated coat, dyed rider’s jacket, leg warmers fused with accessories like Combat boots, gloves and knit hats complete the designers range contributing to his Norban look. The collection centers a splendid appeal focusing a balmy juxtapose of the nature and the city. The structure of his silhouettes depicts the layering technique.
