Infusing fantasy and surreal concepts to this season of Lakme Fashion Week, designer Shehla Khan introduces a deeper and bolder hued collection named “Tale of the Unexpected” which draws inspiration from the designer’s love of fairy tales. .

Veering from the flowy silhouettes seen in the past, Shehla will be showcasing an array of structured looks, as she explains, “The silhouettes are rather bold, an element of structure exists in almost every look, representing royalty along with contemporary feminine grace and regality”. Her collection is a melange of Indian and western outfits, and it collectively portrays her interpretation of fairytales with an unexpected twist. “An amalgamation of fantasy and avante garde is emulated in every style” says the designer. Known for her intricate and carefully crafted artistic embroidery she has even opted for black and gold embellishments, using a mix of different textures to give an elusive and enchanting appeal.
