India’s leading fashion event Lakmé Fashion Week announced it’s another exciting Winter/Festive season with fresh & upcoming talent along with the industry’s most established names. This season will see 89 designers and 7 sponsors collaborating together.
The opening day will feature bollywood’s favourite designer Manish Malhotra displaying a fresh Winter/Festive line, while the grand finale will be presented by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. The event will also see designers like Anita Dongre, Ranna Gill, Ritu Kumar, Vikram Phadnis, Rocky S, Rahul Mishra amongst the others.
The LFW Gen Next Programme will witness the reunion of past 16 seasons of Lakmé Fashion Week Gen Next alumni giving their contribution in shaping the Indian fashion industry. This season will feature 5 new designers of Gen Next category, while 20 and 10 upcoming designers from Talent Box and Emerging Designer respectively.
The Indian Textile Day part of Lakmé Fashion Week’s will feature designers Shruti Sancheti and Soumitra Mondal’s Maharashtra and Orissa weave collection, while designer Krishna Mehta will showcase his collection comprising of Manipuri handlooms.
