For the first time in Mumbai, Kala Raksha Vidhyalaya showcased the impact of education and the creative capacity of traditional artisans with a unique fashion show, presenting ready-to-wear pieces by artisan design graduates of KRV, inspired by the garment silhouettes of renowned fashion designer Anju Modi. Taking inspirations from each other, men weavers, printers, batik and bandhani artists and women embroiderers have worked together for this show.
The artisans showcasing their incredibly rich and nuanced handmade ensembles were accompanied by designers like Anita Lal, Anjana Somany and Anuj Modi on the ramp.
