After leaving the audiences spell bound in North India with their exotic and elegant designs, designer duo Kapil and Monika have enough reason to present their new bridal couture and indo western collection in grand style at the Kolkatta Couture Fashion Week with ace bollywood actress Mugdha Godse being the show stopper for the designer duo.
The collection comprises of richly embellished lehengas, sarees, cocktail gowns giving the feel of the mughal era with heavy embellished motifs to zardozi work on velvets and tunics in a medley of pinks, beige, mauve, reds, black, blues and whites. Most outfits are easy to drape, with fabrics ranging extensively from velvet, brocade and chandelier net, creating an absolutely mesmerizing effect. Embroideries in contemporary patterns and embellishments in swarvoskis and stones lend the garments a magnetic, alluring feel. With each ensemble designed, Kapil & Monika endeavor to go beyond the realm of convention and produce an effect that is simply dazzling.
