Sidelining the glamour and limelight which fashion industry is mostly linked with, a seminar came up to highlight the niceties of trade and craftsmanship.

The educational endeavour by JD Institute of Fashion Technology saw the aspiring designers-merchandisers joining Designer Nakul Sen and Senior Merchandiser of Ogaan, Shagun Khanna to share their valuable experiences.

The seminar brought to the fore the mantra, ‘to learn the trade, be ready to work hard’ as an eye opener for the students who only associate fashion with glamour. The significance of learning and getting hands on experience in each department of an organization was particularly emphasized.

Focusing on the nittygritties of the business, Designer Nakul Sen talked about the basics of costing and fabrication whereas Shagun Khanna shed light on what it truly takes to make it in the industry.
