Scrupulous attention to details and the last minute finishing touches meted out with excellence, describes fashion designer Puja Nayyar’s designs. Graduate of NIFT, Delhi she was selected at the National level to showcase her collection for the Air France Young Designers’ Design Competition in Paris. She believes in the philosophy of asymmetry yet having a balanced frame of mind and body.
In 1996 she started her label under the name “Puja Nayyar”. Encompassing the huge array of style, the design house specializes in both menswear and womenswear with scrupulous attention to cuts and precision. The brand’s forte lies in the use of exclusive fabrics as well as embroideries which would give an intricate look, yet be fashionable, individualistic and value for money.
She has showcased her collections at Wills India Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Asia Fashion Week and has done shows at Sao, Polo, Brazil, etc. Puja has presented her designs at Khazana, Taj Hotel and Nasscom conference at Oberoi’s group of Hotels and has also created abstract ensembles for the ‘Arjo Wiggins’ paper show.
Her designs are currently available at her design studio in Delhi, Kimaya and Melange in Mumbai, Sosa’s in Goa, Carma in New Delhi and Grasshopper in Bangalore. Her label is also retailing from “Chokri” in Singapore and other stores in Japan, Paris, Milan, London, New York and Dubai.
