This experienced enthusiast possessed a diploma from PV Polytechnic in 2002, bagging the ‘student of the year’ award. Immediately after graduation, she became a partner and the head designer at ‘Prriya and Chintans’ and gained momentous experience and enhanced skills through the same. Thereafter, she launched her eponymous label which is replete of unisex couture creations and accessories. The brand is focussed exclusively on merging Indian embroideries with western cuts, to conclude to a never-seen-before exquisite creation.
Speaking of her early experiences in the fashion industry, the designer worked at the ‘Sheetal and Sheetal’ design studio as an intern, followed by a training project at ‘Monsoon’, the acclaimed UK brand based in London. With all the learning and the excellently developed skills, she moved forward with her career and designed for Bollywood celebrities like Salman Khan, Sridevi, Vidya Balan, Amrita Rao, Kangana Ranaut and many more.
Meanwhile, her journey includes accomplishments like her winning the British Council Femina Young Designer Award. Also, she participated in the graduating show of SNDT, Chrysalis in 2012 and won the best surface treatment for her graduating collections. Furthermore, she participated in multiple fashion weeks, both in India and US. Among her recent appearances, she showcased her collection in Nairobi at Samantha Bridal Show and currently looks forward to exhibiting her creations in Dubai.
Additionally, Priya marked the milestone of her career by showcasing her latest collection of sarees, anarkalis, suits, tunics, gowns and accessories at the highly acclaimed IIFA Expo this year.
Presently, successfully retails her collection through the up-market retail studios like Indiva in Toronto, Anokhi Ada in Atlanta, AZA in India.
