Janavi’s creative journey began in 1998, when founder Jyotika Jhalani saw an opportunity to harness the most evocative traits of Indian craftsmanship to create innovative products for a highly discerning client base. A head injury marked the end of a 10-year-long career at the World Bank, but it was only the beginning of a new entrepreneurial venture; what started off with a few international exhibitions has resulted in a full-fledged company that designs cashmere wraps for the biggest names in fashion, including Burberry, Dior, Hermès and Fendi.

Hailing from Kashmir with a refined sense of aesthetics Jyotika offers the finest range of handcrafted shawls, wraps, blankets, throws, travel sets, and a limited edition of knitted garments using unusual weaves. Employing techniques ranging from hand and digital printing to traditional embroidering and embellishing using crystals, semi-precious stones and lace, these cashmere treasures are perfect for everyday use.

Working closely with Master Craftsmen, guided ably by a strong Design Team, each piece is created with utmost care and a diligent eye, imparting a unique distinction to be enjoyed by a true connoisseur. Apart from shawls and stoles the designer also houses cashmere blankets, knitted garments and a line of evening bags, apart from a range of couture fabrics as a result of their collaboration with the iconic Swiss textile house Jakob Schlaepfer.

Janavi has a global presence with the launched of its flagship store at the Emporio Mall, New Delhi. Currently, she has representative offices in London, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, LA and Dubai. Janavi products are also available at Mumbai International Airport through the exclusive store Lotus House and through Jai at Jaipur.
