Gopi Vaid always loved fashion design and hand block printing. Meanwhile, Arnaz Soonawalla a surgeon by profession was drawn into the field of fashion by her love for color and design.
In, 2003 Gopi and Arnaz joined their hands and gave birth to the label ‘Gopi Vaid’. The brand is elegantly rich, vibrant, contemporary and distinctive. The duo’s new innovative designs have kept the kurti-tunic alive as a comfortable but fashionable element of every wardrobe. The brand is known for its beautiful lehangas, stylish kurtis and sophisticated anarkali suits.
The duo has showcased their collections at Lakme Fashion Week, Bridal Asia and Design One. Their designs have been graced by celebrities like Juhi Chawla, Soha Ali khan and Anjali Tendulkar.
Their designs are currently retailing from Aza, Ensemble, Melange, Ogaan, Samsaara and Morga in Mumbai, Aza, Ensemble, Ogaan and Elan in Delhi, Collage, Origin, and Orange Feather in Hyderabad, Collage and Avastra Studio in Chennai, Collage and ABC Folio in Bangalore.
