This designer duo and best friends, together curated their label, ‘Dabiri’ in 2001, accompanied by Ambika, who handles the everyday management of the brand. Of the three, Divya is an MBA from the fore school of management, who without any professional training per say, in designing, took the same as a hobby and which grew as a profession with time. Vandana graduated in Designing from New York and pursued designing courses from NIFT, Delhi. Thereafter, she interned with Givenchy and successfully employs her experiences from the same, for Dabiri creations; Ambika has a wide experience of working with leading fashion houses in France and UK.

Speaking of Dabiri, the label is replete of exquisite traditional embroidery made by using zardosi, lakhnavi chikankari, and zari as its primary elements. The ensembles are deeply inspired by the rich Indian traditional outfits and are immensely embellished with detailing.

Meanwhile, the early years of Divya and Vandana include their first showcase of the label in 2002, which was followed by numerous international presentations being held in Indonesia, Hong Kong, London and Dubai.

However, their major accomplishments with Dabiri include the label being featured in acclaimed fashion magazines like Verve, Elle, Vogue and Cosmopolitan. Furthermore, the designers have made some grand public appearances in huge platforms like the Lakme Fashion Week, which facilitated them to promote their collections in the mainstream fashion world.

Presently, Divya and Vandana successfully retail their creations from their designer studios in Delhi and Mumbai.
