Known for their distinct look, the husband-wife duo of Aparna and Norden Wangdi has carved out a name for themselves in the Indian fashion industry. The design sense of the couple emphasizes the cut of the garment giving importance to fit, finish and quality. Bringing with them, a unique regional diversity (Aparna is from Madhya Pradesh and Norden from Darjeeling), the pair plays with techniques rooted in Indian craftsmanship to present a graphic sense of style. Contrast threadwork, accentuated seam lines and textural embellishments, printing, dyeing, painting and layering are some of the more striking features of their garments. Their creations are strikingly individual and take on the personal style of the wearer.

Both Aparna and Norden are alumni of NIFT New Delhi and have worked in various capacities in various garment related fields before they decided to come together and launch their very own brand.  Aparna had already worked for some textile projects in Himachal. Norden, meanwhile, went to the US for almost three and a half years and worked in manufacturing and buying of garments. By the time they joined together, the couple had enough experience in design and business to allow them to seamlessly blend their passion for art and their mind for business.

Retailing from stores in Europe, USA, Asia and domestically along with their own store ‘Ollatin’ in Gangtok, the brand has carved a niche for themselves through Wills India fashion and Lakme fashion week in the last decade.
