Talbot Runhof, one of the leading German fashion labels, presented their Fall/Winter 2011/12 collection during the Paris Fashion Week.

“i’m feeling quite insane and young again and all because i’m mad about the boy” wrote Noël Coward in his song of the same name; a tale of the unrequited love for a film star teetering between obsession and youthful innocence; the inspiration of the fall/winter 2011/12 collection is a juxtaposition of masculine and feminine, black and white, fluid and static, draped and tailored, desired and rejected.

This season, Talbot Runhof takes the privilege to use a number of fabrics that have over decades become their own little obsession.  The fabric lineup is rounded out with a bronze brocade cloqué, black wool crêpe, striped cotton shirting, black satin and stretchy georgette, pure cashmere, stretch leather and a guipure sequin embroidered mousseline, polar fox, and ermine lapin. Ivory and white, black, chocolate, taupe, smoke and a splash of rosewood, poppy and bordeaux.

Striped cotton stretch shirt with integral necktie combined with pleated trousers.  draped cashmere jersey dress under a striped faille peacoat in shades of black, chocolate and taupe. cloqué top with voluminous back shown with a black crêpe satin bias skirt.  Sequin stripe embroidered sweater combined with slouchy draped satin trousers.  Double layer silk mousseline gown under a rosewood, poppy and bordeaux striped faille parka.
