The act of recycling seems like making an inroad into the dazzling alleys of fashion like never before. The shrill to embrace recyclable fashion is echoed by Ananaya presenting its Spring Summer 2012 collection of accessories.

The range of colorful clutches and handbags made out of Chindi fabric and recyclable material is the flavour of the season, reflecting the colors and hues of sunrays and beauty of glass beads outlined with silk thread hand embroidered onto clutches. The highlights of the collection are the clutches made with handmade beads strung together and embroidered onto a bag for a style statement doubling up as a handle, for functionality.

Giving a peep into her collection, Nupur Batra of Ananaya, says, “We have used a lot of chindi in our spring summer 2012 collection. We are working with master craftsman from Nagpur, who has been weaving this for years and it surely feels good, to turn around old mundane waste to bags that are being walked with on fashion ramps.”
