Review
For me, this designer’s collection was actually a “dream come true”. The beauty of purity instilled a spark through strands of colors, as models entered with a robust of floral shimmery looks. Floral embellishments followed by fabric layering and patchwork was done on the garments. Models walked in wearing had-woven Bhagalpur silk saris with intricate Zardozi embroidery. They could be seen wearing asymmetrical jackets, heavily embellished. This was accompanied by hand-embroidered corsets. In one of the looks, a model was seen wearing a long fitted dress cape at the back with floral patchwork. I, personally found that look very similar to Valentino’s Couture Spring Summer 2014 collection. For footwear, Samant chose golden strappy platform sandals to complete the look. The last look was an absolute stunner. The model walked in a corseted gown, which was heavily textured with thousands of origami hand appliquéd work. For me, she was literally a “floral bouquet”. Lastly, the show was completed with fast and frivolous African beats. It truly was a dream world, rising from the smoky past and meeting a new horizon…
