The third day of the AIFWAW 2016, was wrapped by the big daddies of fashion – Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Abhishek Gupta, Ashish Soni, Varun Bahl, Troy Costa, Rajesh Pratap Singh, JJ Valaya and Rohit Bal. Each designer’s collection showcased only five to six outfits each. Although different in their own ways, the collection turned out to be an eclectic mix of the designer’s signature looks.

Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna’s collection had a display of an ombre pantsuit, striped jackets, shirts, jackets, kurtas, waistcoat with a tuxedo-like-lapel and woollen jackets. They played with the hemlines for their outwear, keeping it high-low and straight.
Abhishek Gupta’s collection of jackets, blazer, shirts and pants saw a lot of checks and tone-on-tone detailing. He incorporated slim fit trousers and slim ties throughout the collection. Ashish Soni’s collection saw tuxedos and trousers in velvet. His pantsuits were printed with understated or tone-tone detailing. Models wore hats à la
    Pharell William.

Varun Bahl’s collection of semi-formal wear was quite relaxed. His printed pantsuits, bomber jackets and slim-fit trousers were styled with sneakers and an occasional brooch. On the other hand, Troy Costa’s collection consisted of very formal tuxedoes and blazers with bow-ties.
Rajesh Pratap Singh went with his unusual ways. Blazers were styled with kurtas, pallozos appeared instead of trousers and scarfs instead of ties. Golden elements were seen throughout the collection.

JJ Valaya seemed to go back to his lineage for inspiration. Consisting of flared a-line kurtas, churidars, velvet safari suits, his collection looked nothing less than royal. Rohit Bal’s collection saw a stiff, almost Victorian collar. His suits were styled with wrapper skirts and churidars. Flower motifs were seen throughout the collection. The finale ended on a rather high note.
