Designer-duo Komal and Ratul Sood showcased their autumn/winter 2018 collection at Amazon India Fashion Week 2018.
The designers presented their new menswear collection titled ‘The Thinker’ in great style. Their label, known for fine bespoke sartorial craftsmanship in menswear is popular amongst many celebrities. Inspired by the philosophy from the WGSN macro trend, this collection is their interpretation of going back to heritage base fabrics and hues, and to create an escape for this technological world.
The collection featured asymmetric bandhgalas, printed blazers, striped suits , tuxedo stripe pants and much more. Their approach to everyday classics in a more constructed, structured way while focusing on practicality is the beauty of this collection.
The essence of the brand is youthful, chic glamour and sophistication. Kommal and Ratul Sood’s collection blends the ancient heritage with a modern twist. The label presents eveningwear with styles in high-end demi-couture.With an innovative mix of Eastern suggestions & European sensibility for cuts and sartorial styling, the brand transcends borders, inspired mostly from her extensive travels, historical and modern architecture and global aesthetics.
As the models ruled the runway in slick hair, it was an interesting sight to see experimental patterns in menswear, as most designers do stick to classics. Natural handloom silks were combined in fine technique of Arashi dying, screen and block printing in graphic designs for this collection. Silhouettes are structured and masculine for the global man. The label’s distinctiveness is fluid silhouettes, defined cuts and eclectic embroidery.
