Kavita Bhartia Show at AIFW SS’16
    October 8, 2015

    Review

Kavita Bhartia’s collection was minimalistic with a focus on the globetrotting woman. The lineup was inspired from the timeless traditions and winsome architectural heritage.

The collection gave new definition to romance, new techniques and modern take on Ikat. The silhouettes were contemporary and asymmetrical. She used geometrics, architecture inspired motifs and paisley on fabrics like nets, silk organza, silk crepes.

Kavita combined peaches with mint green, natural beige with tiffany blue to bring out a cooler and softer side of the color spectrum. Garcing the runway were stunning designs like panelled skirts, voluminous circular skirts, dresses, crop tops, pleated pants and jackets which were further enhanced with cross-stitch embroidery in gold and nudes.
