Hemant & Nandita’s youthful collection ‘Summer 69’ took its inspiration from the era of 1960’s, the era of fashion.
The duo took us back to five decades back with embroideries in acid colors, big flower motifs, lace plackets, lace shoulder patches and silhouettes coupled with short hemlines. Solid color threads and lace embroideries perfectly matched the theme
The lineup showed shirt and Suiting fabrics mixed with lace and twill, giving a sight of the inter-related cultural and political trends of the era. There were fit pantsuits, jumpsuits and button up skirts with large utility pockets. Also displayed at the ramp were A-line, boxy, flared trousers, sharp and short shift dresses, depicting simplicity in design and construction.
