The jewellery label Apala by SumitSawhney unveils its latest Monastery Collection, dedicated to ‘The Buddha’.

The eclectic fusion of the contemporary, spiritual and traditional charm, the collection is a result of the designer’s visit to many monasteries in Gangtok and Leh Ladakh. It incorporates various curios, symbols and feel of the monasteries in the form of pendants and earrings featuring written scriptures, motifs, prayer wheels, and even the Dorje.

The handcrafted jewellery in silver with precious and semi-precious gemstones reflects Tibetan colors having spiritual significance. The use of colors like turquoise and coral red comes alive on this contemporary jewellery with traditional Buddha elements.
