The new director of the Uffizi gallery has announced plans to transform the Costume Gallery at Pitti Palace, into a full-fledged fashion museum, while the Ferragamo Foundation opens a city-wide exhibit exploring the links between art and fashion.

1“Across Art and Fashion,” exhibit, the shoemaker explores the complex relationship between art and fashion. Drawing on Salvatore Ferragamo’ attitude, whose fascination with twentieth century avant-garde art movement led him to find inspiration in the world of art and collaborate with many of the artists of his time, the exhibition explores the artistic experimentation of the Nineties.
