How and why did you choose to be a part of IPLFW?
I was approached by the event co-ordinators, Idea Weavers, and I instantly agreed to do the IPLFW. I think it’s an amazing concept, we have London and Paris Fashion weeks, showcasing Indian designers like me at London is such an honor and I am delighted to be a part of it. It is great for global exposure and helps in expanding my market as well.

What is the kind market or Buyers that this show would cater to?
Since it is an international event, the level of exposure is going to be much larger than back home in India. The potential market is going to spread across the globe which is amazing for designers like me, especially when we get the opportunity to spread our culture and innovation throughout the globe. The kind of buyers expected includes foreign nationals as well as Indian nationals staying out there. We all know how much Indian clothes are appreciated all over the world, and this will help in connecting with them at a personal level. It will be great!

Tell us something about the collection that you would be showcasing here…
The collection I will be showcasing covers the authentic quintessence of lavishness. The collection is an affluent zenith of rich and sumptuous lehengas, graceful saris, modish chudidar kurtas and lavish sherwanis. It is quite varied with inspirations from Rajasthan and Istanbul and is awfully feminine.

How do you look back on your journey as a designer?
When I sit and look back at my journey through the years that have passed by, I feel content and satisfied, at the same time I feel excitement and nervousness for the days to come. A journey of a designer never comes to an end, it continues for as long as you want it to. Inspiration and imagination never die, they only grow with time. I, myself am excited to see what my future designs will be like. Nonetheless it sure is a great feeling to knowI’ve come so far and done pretty well for myself. But I still quench for more and that keeps me going and helps me prove myself every time.

The clothing you create is amazing. How do you keep going even through the hard times, or design blocks?
Thank you so much, you are very kind. I live by the philosophy
"Disappointment in oneself only stems from the knowledge that we CAN do better"
Deep down, we all know what we’re really capable of. The key then, is to figure out what forms of support enable us to be our best. I try to give my best every single time I create a design, the rest is destiny. I cannot control my future but I can plan it well.

What are the fashion essentials that a person should have in order to exude glamour?
A black dress, stilettos, a perfect clutch to go with, minimal yet the right amount of accessories, great hair-do and to top it all off the right Attitude! And you’re good to go glam
