The late American Copper heiress and philanthropist, Huguette M. Clark, who lived most of her life in reclusion is a mystery to the world. The musician and painter she had a treasure like wardrobe, and a selection of the jewels from it will be auctioned at Christie’s unraveling the secrets about her.

The auction to be held on April 17, 2012 will see period rings, bracelets, earrings, brooches and a diamond-pearl necklace ranging from 1910 to art deco 1930s, giving a glimpse of the great gilded age of America. The 17-piece collection which will go under hammer has been stored in a bank vault since 1940s, and is expected to fetch up to $ 12 million.
