1French fashion house Louis Vuitton has opened door to its second private museum La Galerie in the northern suburb of Asnières-sur-Seine near Paris.

Spread over an area of 6,500-square-foot, the two floored museum features floors, plinths and walls decorated with marquetry patterns. There are 400 objects and documents from the house’s archive of 26,000 objects and 165,000 documents. The collection of clothing includes designs from the fashion house’s past and present creative directors, like Kim Jones and Marc Jacobs. Scattered throughout are vintage pieces from Lanvin and Dior.

The ground floor features a selection of trunks and toiletry kits, alongside period product brochures, Vuitton correspondence and more modern designs. While the first floor has high arched poplar wood ceiling and includes Keepall bag from 1930 that belonged to Gaston-Louis Vuitton displayed next to a Bowling Vanity Tuffetage bag from creative director Nicolas Ghesquière’s fall 2014 show.
