Salvatore Ferragamo proclaimed that it will finance with a generous donation the restoration of eight halls (from 25 to 32) in the Florentine Galleria degli Uffizi, one of the jewels of the Italian artistic heritage, in accordance with the Company’s long-time tradition of patronage. With the donation, Ferragamo also intends to signify its gratitude to the city of Florence, which always played a central role in the brand’s essence, style, and prosperity.

The eight halls, presently not accessible to the public, will be restored and opened. They will host some of the most precious works of the XIII century from Florence and the Umbria region, among them masterpieces by Ghirlandaio, Perugino, Filippino Lippi, Piero di Cosimo, Lorenzo di Credi and Luca Signorelli: an authentic treasure that, thanks to the Ferragamo donation, will be soon available for everyone to see.
