The fat eclectic portfolio of designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee is laced by another fete as the he designs the Cinema Suite at Taj’s 51 Buckingham Gate, London.

A tribute to 100 years of Indian cinema the suite hosted its maiden guest Bollywood’s legend Amitabh Bachchan, of late. Taking its inspiration from motion pictures across the world, the suite travels across diverse cultures, eras, moods and genres.

From the imposing study inspired by the great masters like Satyajit Ray, Francis Ford Coppola, Bergman to the cultured Kitsch living room inspired by World Cinema leaders like Majidi, Wong Kar-Wai, Almodovar; the Monroe inspired one bedroom to the colonial inspired another bedroom reminiscent of the works of maestros like Guru Dutt, Merchant Ivory and Bimal Roy, the suite comes as a fascinating visual and tactile journey of cinema around the world.
