250The fifth edition of the annual CFDA/Lexus Eco-Fashion Challenge was held at The Modern in New York City. Every year, the Council of Fashion Designers of America gathers a selection committee which selects one winning designer and two runner-up designers on the basis of design credibility, business acumen and eco-commitment. This year, the committee comprised of Julie Gilhart, Cornejo, Timo Rissanen, Melissa Joy Manning and more.

The proud winning fashion brand for this year was the enigmatic four year old jewellery brand K/LLER and the runner-up winners were Reformation and Study NY.

While each of the winners bagged a grand prize money, this accomplishment also enables the designers to come into the limelight and establish their business on a larger scale.
