One of the leading internet retailers worldwide, Amazon takes yet another step towards its dedication to catering the fashion industry and an excellent customer experience by launching an all-new 46,000 sq. ft. fashion photography studio in London.
Scheduled to open next year, this studio is going to be one of the largest of its kind in Europe and will provide images for its fashion business across the continent.
The retailer looks forward to generating more employment in London by opening the studio with 35 new permanent staff, 2,000 employees based in London three offices next year. This number is expected to increase to 5,000 in 2017 when Amazon opens an office in Shoreditch.
Speaking of its fashion business until last year, the e-tailer was able to sell as many as 1 million fashion items in a week on Amazon.co.uk during Christmas last year. While it started to sell clothing in 2008, it has this year geared up its focus in the sector.
