Celebrated designer Jason Wu, the award-winning talent was announced as a nominee for international Canadian designer of the year at an event in Toronto on Wednesday. The CAFAs honour homegrown talent within the arts and fashion community.
The Official 2016 Nominees for Designer of the year award are Jason Wu,Tanya Taylor and Thomas Tait. Likewise womenswear Designer of the Year Award will be presented to an outstanding Canadian womenswear designer who has made a significant creative impact in the Canadian fashion industry. The nominees are Greta Constantine, Lucian Matis, LINE Knitwear and Pink Tartan.
Official menswear CAFA nominees are Christopher Bates, Frank and Oak and Wings + Horns while Swarovski will giveaway an award to emerging talent amongst the four designers namely 3.Paradis, Beaufille, Matthew Gallagher and UNTTLD.
