Uggs Wins Counterfeit LawsuitUggs, known around the world as much for style as for warmth and comfort, may now be known for being counterfeited in hordes.

In a recent activity, Ugg Australia won two counterfeit lawsuits against Chinese websites, making it grab the payment of $686 million which accounts for more than half of its sale in 2011. The shoe brand got the sum after some 3007 websites based in China were found selling fake Ugg products.

The move also resulted in 6000 names being transferred in ownership of Uggs, disabling each site’s ability to trade. Besides, the sheepskin boot’s brand also removed 19,000 links related to its products from search engines.
