This year’s honor of 400,000 dollars, for CFDA/Vogue fashion fund went to designer Telfar Clemens, the Queens native launched his New York-based unisex line Telfar, in 2005 and has been stocked in several influential boutiques including Colette and Opening Ceremony.
However, the runners up, taking home $150,000 each, were Ahlem Manai Platt of eyewear brand Ahlem and Becca McCharen-Tran of inclusive ready-to-wear brand Chromat. Whilst, all 10 designers receive a year of mentoring.
