Designer Shilpa Reddy in her debutante collection for Lakme Fashion Week highlights the aspects of the sacred feminine: a nurturer and a protector, Suriyothai, the Queen of Siam.
The collection gravitates towards energetic colors like reds, yellows along with nurturing pastels. Thai structure and silhouettes with strong shoulder structures and fluid elements blending with each other in light fabrics like net & crepe have been extensively used. The embroidery and stone work is inspired by Thai jewellery in tones of real gold along with precious and semi precious stones, giving pragmatic look to the ensembles.
