Sonaakshi Raaj with muses Mandana Karimi and Sonal Chauhan previewed her collection for the upcoming Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2015, at the Palladium Hotel, Mumbai.
‘The Run-Away Bride’ – the new collection by Sonaakshi Raaj is an amalgam of different moods of a modern woman; with a daring attitude she exudes elegance and panache.
As she interprets ‘The Run-Away Bride’ as the poised woman who elegantly sways down the aisle looking radiant in the jewel crusted robes. Freedom is her middle name. The runaway bride is independent and fearless in her attitude. She strongly believes that her life is bountiful and lives each moment in its splendor. Bold, brazen yet so desirable with an untamed signature style of her own!
The ensembles cater predominantly to the confident new-age woman who gets a comprehensive array, ranging from structured gowns, embroidered blazers with cut-out detailing, sheer capes, tassel palazzo jumpsuits, boleros and contemporary Indian wear. The line is infused with luxe fabrics such as net, taffeta, organza, tulle, georgette and delicate pearls and exquisite stone embellishments. The colour palette sees a dominance of bold jewel tones blending into soft pastels.
The focal concept of the collection is the usage of flowy drapes and silhouettes with an edgy twist for the contemporary woman.
