A glittering soiree hosted by designer Shibani Malhotra recently marked the launch of her flagship store at The Gallery on MG Road, New Delhi.Spread over 500 sq. feet the store has a traditional feel with clean and contemporary lines. A regal chandelier offsets the matt wooden floors and the mannequins display the eclectic collection by the designer ranging from chic Western wear to finely embellished saris to evening wear.
Speaking on the occasion, Shibani said, “To have my very own flagship store has been my dream project. Fashion to me is about confidence and sensuality. I like designing for women who are at ease with their bodies and like to fuse comfort with style.”
The store launch was attended by Dia Mirza, Sahil Sangha, Zoya Akhtar, Rohit Gandhi, Rahul Khanna, Nikhil and Vidushi Mehra, JJ Valaya, Mandira Nath, Tanisha Mohan, Aparna Chandra, Vikram Baidyanath, Pushpanjali Sharma, Cheena Wig, Bharti Bhalla, Anita Bhattal, Amu Saidi, Alpana Gujral, Payal Kapoor, Leena Singh, Gauri and Atul Vohra, Anita Bajaj, Taruna Sharma, Mini Shashtri, Shonali Mathur, Shona Taneja, Karishma and Sandeep Jalani, amongst others.
