Her Royal Highness Kate Middleton’s beautiful trousseau by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen which left the world applauding the royal bride will be on display at Buckingham Palace during the annual Summer Opening from 23 July to 3 October 2011.

The dress which is made from ivory and white satin-gazar stiffened organza with 2.7 meters of train reflecting the craftsmanship of the label Alexander McQueen was designed by Sarah Burton in close assistance by Kate Middleton. The dress being the souvenir of royal extravaganza was earlier rumored to be a part of the Alexander McQueen exhibition at New York’s Met museum.



Along with the wedding dress, The Duchess’s wedding shoes, hand-made by the team at Alexander McQueen, of ivory duchesse satin and lace embroidered will also form part of the display, as will the diamond earrings worn by The Duchess on her wedding day.

Visitors will also get to see the bride’s veil and the Cartier ‘Halo’ Tiara worn by Kate on the wedding day. To complement the wedding dress display, The Duke and Duchess’s traditional multi-tiered fruit cake wedding cake will be shown in the State Dining Room.
