Dubai is a melting pot of various influences amongst them India is a vital ingredient! Dubai is home to several talented designers, but the most significant are the Lebanese designers, who do more or less a European look. I have attempted to accommodate Indian as well as European influences in my collection, whether it is in the use of fabrics, silhouettes or structuring techniques…, says Ravi Bajaj at the showcasing of his collection for Dubai Fashion Week.

The collection is occasion wear that transcends seasons as there are no seasons when it come to celebrations, especially in India. Therefore, you will see a traditionally crafted lehenga in all its colorful glory, along with an evening gown in shades of nude.

The Ravi Bajaj sari in all its modernity will be seen beside a structured coat in zardozi. The menswear is fusion as well, where elongated bundhgala jackets are worn over skinny pants or riding breeches, shervanis over loose pants and navigator kurtas over jeans.
