Poonam Bhagat’s Autumn Winter 2014 collection, under her label ‘Taika’ is all about being edgy, ethnic and contemporary. A colourful play with traditional Indian attire: salwar-kameez and kurti-chudidar, Poonam employed a colour palette replete of ebony, watermelon, orange, lemon, ivory blue, shimmery golden, peach and mustard among others.

The exclusivity of the collection lies in the introduction of the fabric ‘ribbed’ which is user-friendly easily wearable. The list of other fabrics includes silk chanderis and cotton silk. Also visible are the use of excessive embellishments like floral embroideries, lattice work and blue pottery inspired work. The extremely pret and classy kurtis, ponchus, palazzos etc., are ideal formal wear and user friendly during the summer heat.
