For the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week W/F 2014, Inspired by India’s first fashion export to the world, the ancient technique of printing fabric from the coast of Coromandel, Payal Singhal presents, Chintz, as we now call it.

The collection explores the westernization of an ancient indian art and the history and origin of probably the first Indian Western collaboration in fashion.

Done in deep tones of Aqua, Navy, Teal, Sienna, Cranberry and a beautiful custom designed ” Chintz” in rich crepes, silks and linens in deconstructed traditional indian silhouettes.
