Sanchez-Kane draws on her Mexican heritage to create alternate realities, reimagining masculinity in a world where that has become somewhat stringent. Her “Citizen Sanchez-Kane” collection, for examples, aims to create new vision of masculinity— less restricted by today’s perimeters of hyper-masculinity, emasculation and male sensitivities and imagining a world wherein Eve, not Adam, is the first creation.
