The year 2016 had handful of fashion moments leaving everybody dizzy with the latest being demonetization.
On the Indian diaspora,we had Manasvi campaigning for Donald Trump, breaking the stereotypes we saw pregnant Carol Gracios, Kareena Kapoor walking the ramp, transgender activist Laxmi Narayan walking as show stopper at LFW while acid attack survivor Reshma Qureshi makes her catwalk debut on the opening day of New York Fashion Week. The year also had first accessory show and plus size show at AIFW.
However Internationally we saw YSL staging its own couture fall 2016 show at Paris. The fashion world mourned the loss of beloved photographer, Bill Cunningham. The rise of see now and buy now runway shows by designers was a welcome change at fashion weeks. Lady gaga walking for Marc Jacobs fall 2016 show at NYFW to Karl Lagerfeld’s staging a Chanel’s Cruise 2017 runway show along Havana’s Paseo del Prado, Cuba.
