After a long wait, Monisha Bajaj brought alive her new label Monisha Bajaj for Store One with a pristine yet chic spa line crafted for Monisha Bajaj Spring/Summer 2010. The launch was hosted at the R Spa, Radisson, New Delhi on Saturday afternoon where the city’s elite took time off to sip a glass of wine, indulge in a spa afternoon while viewing the latest collection.
Monisha Bajaj known for her sleek silhouettes re-aligned her design creation to produce a calming spa collection. Creating fluid draped forms she picks on a calming colour palette of white moving to earth. The free flowing shapes are constructed through careful pleating combining the very romantic Roman look for the style diva. Refined detailing emerges in the inclusion of roses shaped out of natural fabrics and aligned around the neckline. There are also textural treatments like plisse, pin-tucks and neat pleating that gives the garment a luxe appeal. The collection with its intricate details is a more off the shelf created for the metro chi audience with its high dose of style quotient.
Talking on the launch Monisha said, “This summer it’s all about being stylishly simple. The diva looks aligns with nature reflecting a calm and comfortable look of being one with your universe.”
